Contact is a choreographic term where two or more dancers are interconnected. It involves the exploration of one's body in relationship to others by using the fundamentals of sharing weight, touch, and movement awareness. These points of contact become key elements in this series of monochrome watercolour paintings. Painted with multiple shades of black and white, the paintings appear in degrees of transparency and opacity. Like modern dance itself, my works create a continuum of movement and power as if everything is transitional.
